My grandmother and I went to Iceland over Christmas – I wanted to show her the home of my heart. So we hopped on a plane with Icelandair and spent one week in Iceland. Some of you followed the trip already via Instagram, but there a few thing I wanna tell.
We drove from Reykjavik through the national par Thingvellir to the ION Luxury Adventure Hotel – I’ve always wanted to go there. Just look at their geothermal pool… After that we drove all the way to Vik and stopped at the Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss waterfalls. From Vik we drove up to my favorite place on earth: Jökulsárlón – the glacier Lagoon! Aaaand all the way back to Vik, then spent another night in Hella and back to Reykjavik (we stayed at the gorgeous hotel ALDA), where we spent Christmas. On the 26th we went to the Blue Lagoon (40min drive from downtown Reykjavik) and I especially wanna thank them for being extremely courteous. My grandmother doesn’t walk that well anymore and the staff at the Blue Lagoon was just super nice and gave us a special treatment. Thanks! 🙂 You guys made my day!
So, when can I come back, Iceland? I’m always ready.
