Our journey through Western Australia started and endet in Perth. We had 2 days at the beginning to explore the city and 2 days at the end, where we stayed in Fremantle – which was perfect, for visiting Rottnest Island. But let’s start with Perth! We didn’t do any museum or cultural stuff, we only visited Kings Park and Botanic Garden. We stayed at the Alex Hotel and explored the area around it, which was Continue reading “WA – What to do in & around Perth”

What we wear – Colorful in Western Australia
Oh how I love black stones… and even more if I wear bright colors – the contrast is just too good! Fjällräven let us test the Greenland Updated collection during our Western Australia trip and I have to say – the Greenland jackets where perfect. Most of the time it was super windy, but not cold, so the light jacket was just the right protection from wind and sun. Plus the famous G-100 material is pretty handy in such a rough area! And as always, Teva has the nicest and comfiest outdoorsy sandals. Hope you like our bright outfits as much as we like them!

With RedSands Campers through Western Australia
We had the best vehicle for our trip through Western Australia. Just let me say this – the best! We got a RedSands Campers* jeep, which is a Toyota Hilux with a rooftop tent. Perfect for driving all those 4×4 tracks to the most beautiful spots. The husband was extremely happy! Our car had space for 5 people, with 2 tents. A fully equiped kitchen, with a Primus gas stove, an awesome fridge, a table for cooking and another one for eating. We were very lazy and only used the cooking table… which was fine for two people. Also a huge plus, when you have to fly – you don’t need to bring towels and sleeping bags, everything already in the camper! Even an outdoor shower is in there, pretty luxury, if you ask me. Go over here to see Continue reading “With RedSands Campers through Western Australia”
The Alex Hotel in Perth

What to pack for 5 Weeks Australia
YES – we are going to Australia in less than a month! For a 5 weeks road trip and we can’t wait to pack our bags… We’ll fly to Perth and stay there a few days before we’ll pick our RedSandCamper with a roof tent! Hell yeah, this time-out will be so nice – good thing, that we have parental leave in Germany! Continue reading “What to pack for 5 Weeks Australia”
