I love hot springs and that’s definetely a thing I miss in Germany. So, when we travel, I always google “hot springs”, in this case, in Oregon. I was super happy, when I found plenty! We couldn’t go everywhere, but here are the ones we visited:
My favorite one first – BAGBY HOT SPRINGS! Awesome place, really! And totally worth the 5 Dollar-Fee… The walk there is just as beautiful as the hot springs and takes around 35min to get there. We met super friendly people and spent quite some time int the wooden tubs. I wish Bagby hot springs would be around the corner, where I live… 😉
UMPQUA HOT SPRINGS– they were closed, but are open again! That was the most crowded hot spring, since a lot of people visit, like we did, Toketee Falls first and go soaking in the Umpqua hot springs, after. I was a bit “uhhh and ighghhhh”, since I still thought they’re closed because of too many bacteria, but it’s still super nice! I found them via freshoffthegrid.com – thanks again! <3
SECRET HOT SPRING near the Cougar Hot Springs, which we didn’t find. But we asked a person for directions and the lovely lady told us about this one. It’s a “Secret Hot Spring”, which is actually IN a river and you can only soak in it, if the water is low. Yeah!
Forgotten “LOWER BREITENBUSH HOT SPRINGS” – not to be confused with the Breitenbush Hot Spring Retreat Area. Which is probably nicer and if you like to be naked with other people, go for it. 😉 But we liked this one. It’s quite difficult to find it, but you can fill up this tub and relax there as well! Here are some more informations about this forgotten Hot Spring!
Could you tell me where lower bb hot spring is? We have looked before and it’s confusing!!
Hey Serena, which one do you mean? Sophia
