Around Iceland – Bouldering Vestrahorn & ON A Black Beach

We really wanted to go bouldering and climbing in Iceland. In our imagination we would just stop when we see some rocks and try to go bouldering. Yeah… we didn’t expect the weather to be that bad. So this was more or less the only time we went bouldering. The first spot was, close to Skaftafell, on a black beach, pretty random, but quite nice. The second spot and probably the most famous one for bouldering in Iceland was Vestrahorn. Extremely scenic, but we thought it was quite hard to find hard boulders. Nevertheless we highly recommend going there – even if you are not into bouldering – this view and this beach are something special!  Continue reading “Around Iceland – Bouldering Vestrahorn & ON A Black Beach”

Around Iceland – Seyðisfjörður, Hengifoss & Another Waterfall

We started our trip in Seyðisfjörður, since we came this way with the ferry! We had two days of super sunny weather and enjoyed this little village with all its amazing art. We also ended out trip there at the right time – when the LungA Art Festival took part. We can highly recommend strolling through all parts of this village and have lunch at the Nordic Restaurant.
